The Mission de Santa Barbara
El Camino Real was the royal road the Spanish missionaries made/took when they established all the missions in California (when it was part of Spain). We live near one of the missions, Mission Dolores, in San Francisco. These bells line the whole El Camino Real, including all the way along Highway 101 through most of the state. Can you tell Mama was giving us History lessons in the car?!?! WOL!

We met these seals in Carpinteria…
And we visited Solvang, a Danish town. Mama says the Great Grand Paw (he must’ve had furry furry furry big paws! WOL!) was Danish. It was a cute town…
We met this Viking, and Mama got a Danish pastry at the place on the right. She said: yumwumwum!
