Bye-bye Beauwoowoootiful Grace!
Here is the furry beauwoowooootiful Pawrayer of Saint Francis and Susan Boyle singing it:
Make me a channel of your peace, Where there is hatred, let me bring you love, Where there is injury, your pardon Lord, And where there’s doubt, true faith in you. Make me a channel of your peace, Where there’s despair in life, let me bring hope, Where there is darkness, only light, And where there’s sadness, ever joy. Oh Master grant that I may never seek, So much to be consoled as to console, To be understood as to understand, To be loved as to love with all my soul. Make me a channel of your peace, It is in pardoning that we are pardoned, In giving to all men that we receive, And in dying that we’re born to eternal life.
Wooooohoooowoooooo Efurrybuddy! In honor of the Feast of Saint Francis yesterday, many churches in the this city named fur Saint Francis had services fur the Blessing of the Animals. That means we went to church! Not just any ol’ church, but the big big beauwooowooootiful Grace Cathedral. We were a little too excited fur Mama to take too many piccies, but if you want to see some pawesome piccies of the cathedral, including it’s beauwoooowoooootiful stained glass, the big labyrinth, and many many murals, clicky on over to our photography bloggy here and here!
Me and Nalle had never been to a church before, nor had we been to a Mass before, but we behaved furry furry good. I paid attention constantly. Nalle laid down on the super coowooowooool stone floor (it’s been up to 90°F/32°C here fur days!), and looked like she wasn’t paying attention, but when the priest asked if anyone was familiar with a certain book about animals, she said: WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! That made efurrybuddy in the chapel smile and laugh! WOL! Mama had no idea that Nalle was reading so much! Going to therapy pup school has sure paid off fur Nalle! WOL! Here are some piccies:
A statue of Saint Francis near the entrance to the cathedral.
The big labyrinth and altar.
The side chapel where we had the animal service.
Me paying good attention to the priest’s homily (sermon).

Nalle being blessed by Father Randall. He thanked her fur speaking up during the sermon. WOL!
Tomorrow Mama is taking us to Grace Cathedral to be blessed fur the Blessing of the Animals in this city of Saint Francis! Me and Nalle will try to pose fur piccies, so stay tuned! Woooooooowooooooooooo!
Can you see the beach? It’s furry foggy efurrywhere!
A day at the beach
Soft sand to run on and dig
Dense fog all around
Woooohooooooooo efurrybuddy! This morning Mama took us to a part of the beach we’d never been to before! First we parked way high up above the beach where the sand dunes are at a place called Fort Funston. The fog was so super thick we couldn’t see more than a few feet in any direction. There was lots to sniff and Mama let us dig dig dig! They should re-name this place as Fort Funs-a-ton! WOL!
Me and Nalle checked out the ice plant fur gophers, but did not find any.
Any gophers Nalle?
This ice plant isn’t icy! Woo! Mama let’s climb down to the beach!
Looking down from the dunes.
Looking back up at the dunes.
Isn’t it beauwoowooootiful!
There was this sand rock and lots of black sand! Mama says there wasn’t any black sand here when she was a little pup. She says it must be coming from Hawaii! That’s furry far!
Me admiring the black sand. It was much prettier and darker in pawson.
We found this super pawesome giant stick too!
And DoggieBuddha!!! Who knew? WOL!
It was a most pawesome super wet and windy foggy day at the beach! Wooooowoooooooooo!
Once upon a time I did not have any room. I grew up on a four-foot chain in a puppy mill in Alaska. Please help me help other animals be free to zoom, by purchasing my book here: Kuruk: The Little Bear That Could, One Rescue Pup’s Journey of Healing.50% of proceeds are donated to animal rescue and welfare! Thank youwooowoooooooooo!
Now here are some piccies of my recent roomy adventures:
Me and Nalle wuvwuvwuv the spacious beach, but be careful, the water will chase you if you get too close!
On a cool day the sand feels a lot like snow!
Nalle is ready to go chase some seaweed and hunt fur sand crabs.
The doggie parks have lots of room fur play!
And fur a race!
Looks like Nalle is winning!
Zoom, zoom, zoom…
I’m showing our neighbor Bella around the doggie park like a gentleman. It was her first time here.
On the streets there is lots of room fur long long walks and hikes. Here we are all walking home from the doggie park.
Me taking up some of Bella’s room – I was protecting her on the street like a gentleman.
But then me and my sisfur Swami Zoe stumbled across Sammy’s post, saying that he has been made the Viceroy over a certain territory in California, which happens to be where we live. And he’s given our home to other animals! What Cattitude! We will hold our ground from the marauders! I’m sure it was all just a BIG misunderstanding and that we can end this dispute peacefully and then head back to the Pirate Party because it looks like lots of fun!
Me and Zoe were getting ready for the party when we were informed about the invasion!
