To bring luck to all us hounds

Wooohooowoooooo Efurrybuddy! Today is National Doggie Day and Mama took me and sisfur Nalle to the beach to celebrate! And guess who we ran into?!? Remember when Mama took us to the biggest, pawesomest Snow Pup Paw-ty ever? Well, we ran into Nalle’s boyfurriend Kodiac! Here is a piccie of him kissing Nalle at the Snow Pup Paw-ty:

After about an hour exploring the beach, Mama took us to a pet store and got us big yumwumwumwumwum braided bully sticks!

At the pet store Nalle was sniff-shopping. Why? Because Saturday the 30th is her birthday! She will be 4 years old, eventhough she wants to be a baby pup furever. WOL! She has her eye on the giant dinosaur-looking bone fur her birthday present. (Hint to Mama!) 😉 Wooooooooooooowooooooooooooo!

A day at the beach

Soft sand to run on and dig

Dense fog all around

Woooohooooooooo efurrybuddy! This morning Mama took us to a part of the beach we’d never been to before! First we parked way high up above the beach where the sand dunes are at a place called Fort Funston. The fog was so super thick we couldn’t see more than a few feet in any direction. There was lots to sniff and Mama let us dig dig dig! They should re-name this place as Fort Funs-a-ton! WOL!

Me and Nalle checked out the ice plant fur gophers, but did not find any.

photo 1-5

Any gophers Nalle?

photo 2-7

This ice plant isn’t icy! Woo! Mama let’s climb down to the beach!

Doggie Day Care…

KuDayCare

Me furry scared my first day at day care.

We went to day care

Fur the first time last weekend

I was furry scared

But Nalle stayed by my side

And then I got brave and played

Hewwoooooo Efurrybuddy! This past weekend Me and Nalle went to doggie day care fur both Saturday and Sunday. Mama was working at a Fair and thought it would be best if we had lots of pups to play with all day instead of leaving us alone at home fur hours and hours and hours. We never went to day care before, nor had we ever been without Mama fur such long, long, long treacherous amounts of time. (Before Nalle became my sisfur, Mama once went away fur a couple of days, but I had a cuuwoowooooote babysitter in my own home.)

The first day, Mama talked to us on the drive there, and she told Nalle to watch over me and stay by my side to help me feel less anxious. Here’s what the report card said fur day one:

DayCare1

Nalle listened to Mama!

The second morning, Mama talked to us in the car again, and said I would be more comfortable and will have lots of fun playing with other pups. Here’s the report card fur day two:

DayCare2

Mama was so right!

Day care was not so bad. I would go again, but prefer to be with my Mama. 😀  Wooooooowoooooooooo!

NalleDayCare

Nalle singing her heart out at day care! Wooooooooooooooooo!

Room To Zoom…

photo 2-3

The beach where there is lots of room fur me and Nalle to leave our bear-paw prints! 😀

We like to have room

To walk, run, wrestle, and play

And most of all zoom!

Once upon a time I did not have any room. I grew up on a four-foot chain in a puppy mill in Alaska. Please help me help other animals be free to zoom, by purchasing my book here: Kuruk: The Little Bear That Could, One Rescue Pup’s Journey of Healing. 50% of proceeds are donated to animal rescue and welfare! Thank youwooowoooooooooo!

Now here are some piccies of my recent roomy adventures:

Woooowoooooooo!

Another Mal Pal Haiku Jam with My British “Sisfur” Misaki!

Beauwoooowooootiful Misaki. She looks a lot my my sisfur-at-home Nalle!

Beauwoooowooootiful Misaki. She looks a lot my my sisfur-at-home Nalle!

Wooooohoooooowoooooo Efurrybuddy! I’m on a roll with the haiku jammin’! WOL! Today I present to you a haiku jam with my sisfur-from-another-mother Misaki, who lives far far away across a big big big pond!

Thank Dog fur the interputerwebbernetz bloggyworld, because we snow pups rarely like to get wet and swim, and I would not have found Misaki! If you don’t know her already, you don’t have to run and swim thousands of miles either. Just clicky right here to read about The Misadventures of Misaki!

Here are our pawsome tummy rub (or belly rub – that’s British! WOL!) themed haiku jam. Mine are in purple, and Misaki’s are in red:

Me and Nalle love

The vital for existence

Pawesome tummy rubs

Warm hands rub and soothe

Soft caress of fur and skin

Love revealed in touch

I grab Mama’s legs

When she tries to walk past me

More tummy rubs please!

Legs and back stretch out

Eyes closed, mouth wide, tongue peaking

Please don’t ever stop

They’re the bestest thing

I will never get enough

Belly-tummy rubs

Lovely, heavenly

Wonderful and marvelous

Belly rubs are best

Almost as good are

Rubs behind the ears and chin

Back massages too

Fingers deep in fur

Soft and thick and fluffy too

I’d purr if I could

Thank you, thank youwoowoooooooo Misaki! If anybuddy, even if you are not a Malamute, wants to jam with me, just send me or Mama an email here.

Responsible Pooping…

Me sniffing the pawsome smelling poopy bag.

Me sniffing the pawsome smelling poopy bag. See how big the bag is! Pawesome!

Helping the planet

That we all share together

Poop responsibly!

Woooohooooowoooooooooo Efurrybuddy! I did it again! I won some more pawesome prizes!!! This time from Earth Rated – Quality Poop Bags! Through my Facebook page (please like me if you haven’t already) 🙂 I found out about the Earth Rated contest to post a piccie of your doggie Mama. I posted a piccie of my Mama covered in my fur and I won! Wooooooooowooooooooooooo!

I won a ton of Earth Rated poopy bags and a bag dispenser, and Mama got a notepad and pen and some sticky notes. Good thing, because Mama was just running out of stuff to take notes on fur my poetry! Earth Rated poopy bags smell of lovely lavender, and they don’t break or leak any poopy on Mama’s hands. (That makes Mama grumpy! WOO!) They are also compostable, and the packaging is recyclable. I like that furry furry much. As an animal activist I also do my best to take care of the environment and Mother Earth. Without her none of us animals, including silly humans, would be here! Wooooooowoooooooo EarthMama! Here’s all the stuff we won:

Mama’s notepad, sticky notes, and I almost forgot – Poopypup tattoos! WOL! WOL!

Lots and lots of poopy bags! They are even big enough to hold TWO poopies, and me and Nalle poop big big poops! WOL!

Mama’s favorite Rumpy pic. It turns her into the Kissiemonster!

Wooohooooowooooooooooo! I am furry furry excited to share with all of you another pawesome Haiku call-and-respond jam with my buddy and fellow Malamute blogger Rumpy. If you don’t know Rumpy and all his many kitty furblings, click on over to his bloggy Rumpydog here!

Thank youwooowooooooo Rumpy and Miss Jen fur so much fun. Oh, and Rump…wooooowoooo wooo wooooooo woowooooowooowoooo wooo? WOL!

And here is our Malamute themed haiku jam. Mine are in purple, and Rumpy’s are in blue:

Malamutes unite

To write haiku together

Extra cookies please?

Malamute smack down

Sharing rhymes, talking some trash

And singing my woos!

We sing for our treats

And harmonize with sirens

The call of the wild

Treats? Did you say treats?

As in, dare I ask, cookies?

I want a cookie

Cookies are great treats

Sardines and bacon better

Did you shop for me?

True, I do eat meat,

But for treats, I’m herbivore

Peanut butter, please

Peanut butter YUCK!

I may be the only pup

Who does not like it!!!

Mmm….peanut butter!

Chick peas are another fave!

Now I am hungry

Eating times at home

Breakfast time and din-din time

Treats any time please!

But before there’s treats

A romp outside to make sure

No squirrel invasion

And check for raccoons

Those sneaky stealthy food thieves

Must inspect the yard

Then time for a nap

To dream of my adventures

And those yet to come

A Very Special Visit

Hey Efurrybuddy, check out pawesome pics that Miss Jo took when Me, and Nalle, and Mama went to visit the Sundoggies at the Sundog Drift Ranch! Wooooooowoooooooo! Click the “View Original” link at the bottom to see all the pics of Me and Nalle!

The Sun Dog Drift

Storm-2 A few weeks ago when the sun was shining we had special visitors at Sundog.   Storm This smile is proof bloggers are real and not just phantom words and images that respond to my posts.  If you are a blogger who follows “The Drift”  you may know who this is.  Especially if you follow her blogs.  Let me introduce you to Julianne Victoria of  “Through The Peacocks Eyes” (astrology),  San Francisco Photo Blog” ” Haiku by Ku” (her rescue dog Ku’s blog)  and “Swami Zoe Yoga and Zen” (her cat’s blog). Storm-50 Yes she has FOUR blogs.   Besides being a blogger and astrologer, Julianne or Julie has special healing powers.  Storm-52 Mr. Lassen could feel it right away. Storm-51 When she visited the horses. They immediately began to lick and chew, yawn and stretch their necks in weird ways.   In horse language it means they are thinking and releasing some kind of energy. …

Wooooowoooooooo Efurrybuddy! This is one of my in retirement special bloggy posts. A Pup’s Legacy…

photo 1

Me and Nalle ready to go on new adventures!

It’s time to move on

To do more important things

It’s been lots of fun

As a retired author

I will get to hike lots more!

Daily Prompt: Don’t You Forget About Me

From Mama: Hi everyone and efurryone! Ku has decided to semi-retire from being a writer and blogger. It has been lots of fun, and we will visit all of you once in a while because you have given us so many smiles and giggles. We thank you all for the joy you and your pets have filled in our hearts. Ku wants to have more time to go hiking, and we are all ready for new adventures.

Ku’s and his sisfur Swami Zoe’s books will still be available for purchase to support animal rescue, and the blogs will remain as websites. I spent a good 6 months working to promote them here and in many other ways, and have learned more than I could have imagined about self-publishing (I have other books too, click here), marketing, etc. and especially what does not work. However, the time I have to work to earn money is very limited (as in needing a very flexible or work-at-home schedule) given that I am helping care for my mother, who has Alzheimer’s among other mental issues, and the house. I have here and there found some freelance work (though no one seems to want to pay writers much, if anything).

I have much bigger book projects that I am working on, that are much better candidates for publishers, and am now focusing on building my spiritual counseling/life coaching/healing practice. Both of these things, writing and helping others, is my passion and my greatest skills, and they need as much time as I can give to them now. I will still be around the blogosphere as my main blog, Through the Peacock’s Eyesis the online aspect of all that I have been building over the the past year plus.

If anyone is interested in my services, Astrology, Tarot, and Life Coaching, please click here to find out more.

From Ku: Efurrybuddy, please don’t forget about me, I won’t forget you! I will beg ask Mama clicky-fingers secretary nicely to visit your bloggies from time to time. It’s been lots of fun, but time fur new adventures! Much wuvwuvwuv and woooohooooowooooooooooo! xoxoxo, Kuruk Babybear

p.s. I will occasionally compose a Haiku in my semi-retirement, just not efurryday! Woooowoooooo! 🙂
