Malamutes unite
To write haiku together
Extra cookies please?
Malamute smack down
Sharing rhymes, talking some trash
And singing my woos!
We sing for our treats
And harmonize with sirens
The call of the wild
Treats? Did you say treats?
As in, dare I ask, cookies?
I want a cookie
Cookies are great treats
Sardines and bacon better
Did you shop for me?
True, I do eat meat,
But for treats, I’m herbivore
Peanut butter, please
Peanut butter YUCK!
I may be the only pup
Who does not like it!!!
Mmm….peanut butter!
Chick peas are another fave!
Now I am hungry
Eating times at home
Breakfast time and din-din time
Treats any time please!
But before there’s treats
A romp outside to make sure
No squirrel invasion
And check for raccoons
Those sneaky stealthy food thieves
Must inspect the yard
Then time for a nap
To dream of my adventures
And those yet to come
