Be the Change…

BlogtheChange“You must be the change

You wish to see in the world”

Gandhi was so wise

Today is one of the Blog the Change For Animals days! Blog the Change asks:

  • What have you done to Be the Change for Animals?
  • Who do you know who acts tirelessly on the behalf of animals?
  • What favorite cause has a special need right now?

As many of you know, animal rescue is near and dear to my heart. I wrote my book, Kuruk: The Little Bear That Could, One Rescue Pup’s Journey of Healing, to raise money for animal rescue organizations. You can  order it through Create Space or Amazon or Barnes & Noble. Also: Amazon CanadaAmazon UKAmazon India, and other international Amazon stores.

photo-2I’d like to also announce that I’ve made my first donation to the Washington Alaskan Malamute Adoption League (WAMAL). They are the pawesome people who flew me from Alaska to Seattle, where my Mama found me! Wooooohoooooowooooooooo!

Also sisfur Zoe, the great Shri Swami Sattvapurrrrrranada, is also raising money for animal rescue with her book,  Daily Yoga for a Happy and Healthy Cat. It’s also filled with eternal and divine wisdom! May we all Be the Change! Wooooowooooooooo!

  2. Nice post, congrats on the book and donation. I’ve raised $515 between august to September for a small shelter in Cuyahoga falls, Ohio called pet guards. They also received a nice care package of blankets and goodies from me as my birthday present to them.

  3. Wonderful Ku! what an inspiration you are ,I went on a game show years ago with a view to any winnings being shared with the shelter I volunteered at,i was thrilled to win a thousand dollars, half went to a outdoor are for my doggies and the other half finished the roof on the outdoor enclosure for the kitties at the shelter,i have fostered for many years, and when the Black Saturday fires came through I took food every day that supermarkets donated to a wildlife rescue shelter that had injured and burnt animals there,we also sponsor as a family a pen for a year at a shelter..dailywe make sure that the wildlife here lives in harmony with us and our pets..we try all the time to think of animals and how we can help 🙂 there are so many wonderful people out ther Ku it is heart warming 🙂 hugs Fozziemum xx

  4. Wonderful quote and wonderful news, sweet Ku. I deeply believe in that we need to start the change that we want to see. It is so important to support the relentless compassionate work of rescue organisations. I visited WAMAL and wish I could hug and take with me every precious soul. Each darling face brought a tear to my eyes. You see, Ku dear, I also support animal rescue efforts with donations through my photographic works and know how important it is for each of those places to be considered.

I added a photo widget linking to WAMAL from my blog For a Better Earth.

Chin rubs and headbutts to you all ♥
